Nanzan University

Founded in 1946, Nanzan has grown into a fully-fledged Catholic university with 8 undergraduate faculties and 6 graduate programs as well as the Center for Japanese Studies (CJS). CJS students can develop fluency in Japanese and also deepen their understanding of Japan’s culture. Nanzan is home to approximately 10,000 students, including over more than 300 international students. There are university-owned dormitories and a homestay program to accommodate international students. International students of undergraduate and graduate programs are eligible for 50 % tuition fee exemption. A variety of scholarships are also available.
